Birth Preparation Sessions & Coaching
Along with pelvic PT training, Dr. Jackie is an Obstetrics specialist, meaning she has specialized training specifically for pregnant women during labor and delivery. This training is unique to the area as she’s the region’s only OB trained PT. Feel confident, prepared, and fearless as you welcome your baby into this world! Sessions include:
Labor position planning and practice
Individually tailored plans based on pains, history, body type, fears, and desires for utilization throughout the stages of labor and positions of baby
Guidance and education on proper pushing techniques
Vaginal tissue and pelvic floor preparation to decrease tearing occurrence
Pain management techniques
Malposition management (ie. breech)
Create more space for baby through external manual techniques
Education for support person assistance during labor

Taking care of yourself can be difficult due to your busy work schedule, childcare conflict, children’s activities, and so much more. Any pelvic PT session is also available as a virtual telehealth appointment so you can get the care you deserve with easy, secure, HIPAA-compliant streaming. This is a great option for those living outside of Sioux Falls including all of South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa.
